Charmaine Cali Tabilas is a Full Stack Engineer, currently working as a Software Engineer II at StubHub. With over 8 years of relevant experience, Charmaine is passionate about working in all parts of the tech stack and exploring different technologies. She is a TypeScript enthusiast and looks for opportunities to teach developers how to integrate it into their projects. Charmaine has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Computer Software Engineering degree from Hack Reactor. She has worked with a variety of tech stacks, including TypeScript, Ruby, Docker, Redux, Microservices, Postgres, Javascript, AWS, React Native, Redis, Frontend, and Backend. Charmaine is known for being scrappy, constantly curious, and quick to learn. She enjoys pairing and the opportunities it creates to teach and learn. She believes in documenting code to help future developers and tries to help other young women create their own spaces in tech. In her previous role as a Senior Software Engineer at Hinge Health, Charmaine collaborated in building and improving HIPAA compliant software to help end-users manage MSK pain. She led projects to cutover 1:1 messaging logic from the Rails monolith to a NestJS Communication Service, sunset the existing Enzyme library, and replaced it with React Testing Library. She assisted in cross-team efforts across multiple services to support One Time Password flow and developed multiple features to help foster continued engagement between Hinge Health Coaches, Onboarding Specialist, PTs, and Nurse Practitioners to their users. She engaged in internal discussions seeking to increase diversity in the engineering team at all levels. Charmaine also worked as a Software Engineer at Rah Rah, where she developed and collaborated to create a responsive, Progressive Web Application. She used TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), React, Redux, Hooks, HTML5, Ionic, Capacitor, Styled Components, RESTful API using Node.js, Express, TypeORM, Redis, PostgreSQL, Firebase, and deployed it using AWS, Docker, Github, npm, and Figma. She also used Jest, Swagger, and Storybook for documentation and testing. Charmaine is open to inquiries and welcomes opportunities to work with different technologies and explore different parts of the tech stack.
